About Professor Baxter

 

Ryan grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin and received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin Madison.  He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and carried out postdoctoral research at the Scripps Research Institute.  He joined the faculty at the University of California, Merced in 2014.  His research interests include free radical chemistry, single-electron transfers, and light-emitting materials. He is currently serving as Department Chair since the summer of 2022.
