About Avriel Ramos

 

Avriel Ramos earned her B.S. in Chemistry from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and is currently a Ph.D. student in organic chemistry at University of California, Merced. Her research interests include light-mediated transition metal chemistry and novel synthetic methodology. She also has industry experience in analytical chemistry, through work involving PFAS detection in drinking water. Passionate about chemistry education and scientific communication, she hopes to help make science more engaging and approachable for students from all backgrounds. Outside of research, she enjoys performing in musical theatre and combining creativity with science outreach whenever possible.
