DAILY LIFE IN THE LAB
Where all the chemistry, brainstorming, and occasional life conversations happen.
CONFERENCES & PRESENTATIONS
Conferences are a time to not only share the work we have accomplished and are continuing to do, but are also an opportunity to learn from others... and explore a new city with each other!
STEM OUTREACH
Occasionally, members of The Baxter Lab and Professor Baxter perform chemistry demonstrations for the local community youth. The Baxter Lab, in collaboration with the Hratchian Group, have done demo's at local elementary schools, as well as demo's on UCM campus for visiting elementary, middle, and high schools. It is so important to expose children to STEM and inspire them to explore and be curious! Participating in these STEM outreach events are also a nice way to take a break from the everyday graduate and undergraduate research routine, while still being productive. (See More)
ANNUAL LAB EVENTS
Hard work deserves recognition. Achievements deserve celebrations. At the end of the spring semester, The Baxter Lab makes time to celebrate the growth and milestones of each member: graduate students advancing to candidacy, successful publications, undergraduates who have completed their degrees, and the light at the end of the graduate student life tunnel - Ph.D. defenses! These lab events are also an opportunity for team bonding! The success of each member of the lab is the success of the lab as a whole!
